What’s your business and how did you get started?
I help women design lives that light them up using the science of happiness. I started out as a clinical psychologist for several years, but after having 3 daughters fifteen months apart I started to burn out and felt the desire to transform my practice. So I dove into positive psychology and started teaching women on how to thrive in their lives and businesses!
What’s your favorite thing about being a business owner?
Witnessing my clients transform their confidence, happiness, and success. I often say I have the best job in the world!
What keeps you motivated in the midst of challenges?
Returning to the basics. The way I take care of myself is the foundation for how well I’m able to serve and empower others. When I feel off track I make a point to revisit my daily habits, particularly my morning routine. I also find it SO beneficial for my mindset to surround myself with the right influences. I get pretty discerning about who I let in and what I consume.
Tell us about your morning or evening routine.
Lately I have loved walking up before the kids, and drinking lemon water. Then I set my bed and go for a walk outside. Listening to a podcast or audio book while I walk sets the vibe for the day (and feels indulgent!). When I get back I journal, read (personal/professional growth), and do a meditation or taping for 5-10 minutes. Then it’s time to shower and dress for the way I want to feel that day.
What’s one thing you’re currently working toward or expected growth for the future?
I’m continuously working on upleveling myself- my mindset, my habits, the way I scale my business. I’m working on optimizing my systems and how I show up both personally and professionally.
What’s your best business advice you give to other women?
To give yourself PERMISSION to try. And to try again. And to let yourself pivot and change your mind without guilt or shame. You deserve the best of you, the world wants the best from you, figure out who and what that is by letting yourself experiment!
