What’s your business and how did you get started?
Cyndie’s Methodical Media is a Social Media Managing business that I started two years ago after managing my dog’s account for 3 years. I owe it all to my dog, Nigel. When I met Nigel at age two weeks, right then and there I decided to start a social media account for him. I felt that he had a mission on this planet and that was to make others happy. When I created my dog’s accounts the first mission was happiness and he is known as a Happiness Ambassador. From there that grew to be known as Social Media’s most Debonair Dog with his modeling with bowties. What started out as just a way to make people happy turned into Nigel becoming a Micro-Influencer with over 13K followers. This journey brought me countless paid collaborations with businesses, a recent podcast talk and featured with Power of Positivity. I realized what I had learned growing this account would be so instrumental to share with others. Believe it or not, I have a full time corporate world job so efficiency was a must. I wanted to show others how to manage their own content by using my easy method for creating/planning/scheduling content. I also share a peak behind the curtain with pet influencing.
What’s your favorite thing about being a business owner?
I’m a very social creature and nothing fires me up more than being creative, so my business allows me to do both.
What is one thing you’re really proud of that you’ve created or accomplished?
When I started my dog’s account, I wanted to make a difference in others lives and I felt so proud when Power of Positivity reached out to feature our story.
What is the boldest thing you’ve ever done in business?
The boldest move is turning away a collaboration that wasn’t a good fit. Anyone can say yes to money, but to say yes to your soul is a bold move.
What’s one thing you’re currently excited about for the future of your business?
I’ve just signed up for a Infinite Possibilities Certification. This training is for anyone wanting to be immersed in truth, looking for their “tribe,” and ready to start teaching the truth about life’s beauty and our power to others. I’ve also started an account to showcase other businesses that were inspired by their pet – @insPAWed – this is a community project to bring that tribe together. And as far as Nigel, well we will keep growing with our community that is the most supportive and happiest place to be.
What’s your best business advice you would give to other women?
Do not sell yourself short. YOU are worthy and most of all you are the subject matter expert.
