3 Ways to Enjoy Fall– Even if You’re Busy with Work

As summer comes to an end and fall weather starts to set in, you– and everyone else with an affinity for the autumnal air– must be looking forward to all the fun activities and delicious food that the fall season has to offer. It’s no secret that almost everyone’s favorite season is here, but while fall brings the promise of cozy sweater weather, it also means a busier work schedule and project deadlines. And when you’re tackling the hectic schedule that is your work life, it’s easy for the seasons to change and slip by without you noticing. Our jobs, social events and family all manage to take up your time and attention to the point that we forget to savor the season we look forward to every year.

So if you don’t want to get behind in your work but you also want to enjoy the fall season, don’t worry because it’s possible to have both!

Follow these cozy and festive ways to thoroughly enjoy autumn without sacrificing your productivity.

1. Fill Your Home With Autumn Scents

Autumn is the time for hot apple cider and baked pumpkin pie. We’re not talking about just eating them though! Autumn is the season for a cornucopia of cozy scents and smells that are just waiting to make your home cheerful and pleasant. Whether it’s making your own DIY candle or taking a trip to your favorite candle shop, picking up a candle for your living space is a quick and easy way to set up a fall ambiance while you’re working on your next big project!

2. Embrace the Autumn Aesthetic

Nothing encapsulates the coziness of the autumn season better than sweater weather. Cable knit or cashmere, sweaters are the signature mark of cooler weather to come and the perfect way to bundle up in a fashionable way.

And while you’re getting your sweaters out of winter storage or shopping for new ones, don’t forget to grab some cute boots to pair with your favorite sweaters. Stylish and walkable, boots are the autumn staple that you’ll want in your wardrobe to make you feel festive and confident on your morning commute.

3. Do Some Seasonal Shopping at the Local Farmer’s Market

The autumn season never fails to disappoint, especially when it comes to all the delicious food that makes the season that much better. Fall means apples and pumpkins that are piled high by your local farmers and ready to be handpicked by you.

Popular and reliable, farmer’s markets are the best spots to get all your favorite go-to fall foods. While your life may be busy, you still need to eat and nothing says delicious more than apples and pumpkins and all the scrumptious foods you can make out of them. Leafy greens, squash and pumpkins are all fresh and healthy food choices to incorporate into your work lunches so you can fully savor the fall harvest flavors while sticking to your schedule.

While work is important, don’t rush through this season without enjoying it as much as you can. Savor every moment and make it even more special by doing these fall activities with friends or family. And as a gentle reminder, all the work that you have to do will be there waiting for you when you get back, so go relish in the fall season while it’s still here!
