Ali Prato and Blair Nelson co-founded Fertility Rally Live to offer content and curated events for anyone going through infertility or building their modern families.
Ali and Blair met when Blair was a guest on Ali’s podcast, Infertile AF, when it first came out. Then, when Blair launched her podcast, Fab Fertility, Ali went on her show. Both podcasts are now over 100 episodes and going strong, helping create community and camaraderie with every episode. The two of them became friends because #ttcsisters and #infertilitywarriors have an instant bond. As two people who are very open about their own infertility experiences and journeys, and building community around it, they started talking about how they wanted to throw a live event. Thus Fertility Rally Live was born. Originally intended to be a live event hosted in October 2020 in Brooklyn, they ended up launching an online membership community that launched last June, and ultimately a virtual Fertility Rally Live event in October 2020 and April 2021. This second event is taking place Saturday, April 17!
Ali and Blair conceived the name Fertility Rally because it was upbeat, positive, and connoted coming together to rally around each other, lifting each other up, and sharing the love. They always say: “this is the worst club with the best members because no one wants to be here, but the people who have wound up here are truly amazing, and the strongest people we’ve ever met.”
1 in 8 couples in the US go through infertility, and 1 in 4 women experience miscarriage. Infertility and difficulty trying to conceive is not uncommon at all, yet it can feel like the most lonely thing in the world to go through. That’s why events like this and a community like this are so important. In addition to Fertility Rally Live, the Fertility Rally online community offers weekly support groups, tons of content, a private facebook group, and many other components that help women and couples build community and strong support through this experience.
Fertility Rally is an all-day, jam-packed event featuring keynote speakers, two panels, 16 breakout sessions, tons of giveaways, plus a happy hour and VIP after party—all curated to bring the infertility community more support, education, empowerment and love one could ever imagine from their #TTCCOMMUNITY. Tickets can be purchased here, and are $40 each. Even if you can’t make it to the live event, the videos will be available for 30 days after the event so attendees will have access to watch them later on, or to dip in and out as much as they’d like throughout the day. A percentage of the event proceeds goes to Resolve, the National Infertility Association.
Keynotes are Jessica Zucker, Ph.D, author of “I Had a Miscarriage: A Memoir, A Movement,” recently featured in the NY Times, and Mina Starsiak Hawk and her husband Steve Hawk, stars of HGTV’s “Good Bones.”
